Cenit Pool Bar

Throughout the whole year, on a sunny day, you can laze on a sunbed by the pool at the gay-friendly Hotel Cenit. But no one had expected that its bar would emerge as a fabulous, modern restaurant. For almost 20 years, German-born Martin ran the bar in his own, sometimes annoying way. He had a lot of rules, and if you didn’t follow them, he would shout across the pool terrace from behind the bar.

The new operator, Guillermo, wanted to make it something special. He opened the “Cenit Pool Bar “ on 30 April 2016. After a thorough renovation, the tacky decor disappeared and an industrial but chic-looking bar emerged. The view of Figueretas bay and Playa d’en Bossa was always fabulous, but installing a glass wall on the terrace made the view even more spectacular.

And the menu… Where Martin only had toasties, pizza and spaghetti bolognese served from an old-fashioned counter, now you can enjoy delicious meat and fish dishes with a view of all the activity in the modern, open kitchen. As well as a lovely breakfast menu and fantastic smoothies, you can have a great lunch. Sandwiches from €12.50 to €19.50, salads from €14.50 and pasta dishes from €14.50 to €22. Main courses from €17 to €22.50, the only exception being the parrillada de pescado at €57.50 for two people.

Parking is free in the area around the Cenit, provided that every two hours you leave a note of the time you arrived under your windscreen. If you are not a hotel guest and you wish to use the sunbeds around the pool, there is a minimum charge of €30 per person.

The Cenit Pool Bar is open from the end of April until mid October.
